How do I get access to the Cengage grace period?

Each course you enroll into has its own, separate temporary access period.  This "grace period" or "free trial" does not invoke any of the Cengage Unlimited benefits, and only serves to provide you with temporary access to the course.


The temporary access period only applies if:

  • You are not currently subscribed to Cengage Unlimited/Cengage Unlimited eTextbooks, or your subscription has expired.

  • You have not entered or purchased a stand-alone access code for your course.

How it Works

  • Temporary access periods are one full day for every week of the course, up to a maximum of 14 days.

  • The temporary access period starts on the first day of the course (set by the instructor) - NOT the first day you enroll in the course.

  • Temporary access periods cannot be paused or moved to the end of the course.
